MAIA was launched on 28 March 2016, officiated by the Minister of International Trade and Industry.
A mark of solidarity, MAIA represents its members to the Government and global industry, It comprises of top management of member companies who are entrusted to draw the guidelines for the group with the emphasis on capacity development and international market penetration. Companies can leverage MAIA for assistance for growth and access into new markets, networking within industry and championing the industry’s interest with focus on public policy development.
Issues and concerns from members are addressed in the Technical Sub-committees (TSC). The TSCs are the main drivers of activities in the Association. There are 6 TSCs – Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Human Capital, Research & Technology (R&T), Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises and Drone/Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
