SpaceX set to launch 29 Starlink satellites from Florida
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – SpaceX is gearing up for a Thursday predawn launch on Florida’s Space Coast.
The Starlink 10-33 mission will carry 29 Starlink internet satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40 into low-Earth orbit.
SpaceX is attempting to launch during a window from 6:35 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. The Falcon 9 first stage supporting this flight is making its 27th trip to space, having previously flown Crew-5, GPS III Space Vehicle 06, Inmarsat I6-F2, CRS-28, Intelsat G-37, NG-20, TD7, and 19 Starlink missions.
After stage separation, SpaceX plans to recover the booster on the droneship Just Read the Instructions, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
The predawn Falcon 9 launch could produce a “space jellyfish” — a glowing, bulb-shaped cloud with wispy, tentacle-like trails.
