Selangor kicks off three of six industry exhibitions as of today to boost investments

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): Selangor is hosting six industry exhibitions that all kicked off this week as the state government seeks to boost businesses and investments.

The Selangor Investment and Industrial Park Expo (SPARK) 2025 brings together industrial park developers, investment promotion agencies, utility providers, financial institutions, logistics and real estate firms, and government stakeholders from all states in Malaysia and across Asean.

"SPARK is more than an exhibition, it is a catalyst for partnerships, investments, and future industrial growth," said Invest Selangor Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Hasan Azhari in a statement.

The exhibition is one of the components of the annual Selangor International Business Summit opened on Oct 8 until Oct 11. The Summit builds on last year’s success in drawing more than 50,000 visitors to its 994 booths, creating potential transactions worth close to RM14 billion.

The state government, through Invest Selangor, also launched the Selangor International F&B Expo and Selangor Aerospace Summit on Wednesday.

This year, the F&B Expo is targeting RM350 million in potential transactions while spotlighting the latest trends, innovations and consumer demands shaping the global food-and-beverage sector. Participating countries include China, Kenya, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand, according to a separate statement.

The event is also set to welcome 63 buyers from 24 countries, Invest Malaysia said.

The Selangor Aerospace Summit, meanwhile, seeks to reinforce Selangor’s position as a regional aerospace powerhouse. Apart from indoor exhibition, conference, and site visits, there would be a career fair connecting aerospace companies with job seekers through the MyFutureJobs platform.

A total of 36 companies have confirmed participation, including AirAsia, UMW Aerospace, GE Aerospace Subang Malaysia, Airbus Helicopters Malaysia, Asia Digital Engineering, and SIA Engineering Company.
