Malaysia & Canada Forge Stronger Aviation Ties

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) have formalised a new chapter in bilateral aviation cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering civil aviation safety, security and environmental initiatives.

The MoU was signed by Dato’ Captain Norazman Mahmud, Chief Executive Officer of CAAM and Mr. Félix Meunier, Director General of Civil Aviation, Transport Canada. The ceremony held in Montreal, Canada, was witnessed by the Honourable Datuk Haji Hasbi bin Haji Habibollah, Deputy Minister of Transport Malaysia and Mr. Arun Thangaraj, Deputy Minister of Transport Canada.

This landmark agreement underscores the shared commitment of Malaysia and Canada to strengthen aviation oversight, promote knowledge exchange, build capacity and advance sustainable and innovative solutions for the aviation sector. Through this collaboration, CAAM and TCCA reaffirm our dedication to ensuring safer, more secure and environmentally responsible skies for future generations.
