GTA extends Gading Kasturi's helicopter engine support deal to 2028
KUALA LUMPUR: GTA Holdings Bhd's subsidiary Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd has extended its long-term engine support agreement with Gading Kasturi Sdn Bhd until Sept 30, 2028.
The extension was formalised through an amendment to the existing support by the hour agreement for Airbus EC120B helicopters powered by Safran Arrius 2F engines.
Under the agreement, Global Turbine provides engine maintenance, standard exchange, spare parts and related support services to enhance fleet availability and operational reliability.
The programme currently supports five EC120B helicopters operated by Gading Kasturi for aviation training purposes.
The agreement was signed at the GTA Customer Symposium.
GTA said the extension strengthens its long-term customer relationship with Gading Kasturi while providing continued access to specialised aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities and supporting better fleet maintenance planning.
Meanwhile, managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Nonee Ashirin Mohd Radzi said the symposium reflects GTA's commitment to fostering closer collaboration across the aviation ecosystem.
"Beyond showcasing technical capabilities and industry developments, it provides a platform for meaningful engagement with customers, original equipment manufacturer partners and stakeholders who share a common objective of strengthening aviation readiness and building a more resilient aerospace industry.
"The document exchange with Gading Kasturi during the symposium underscores the importance of long-term industry partnerships in supporting the sector's sustainable growth," Nonee said.
