Capital A's long-serving executive Aireen Omar resigns after two decades

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 12): Capital A Bhd (KL:CAPITALA) announced on Friday that its long-serving senior executive Aireen Omar will be leaving the group effective Friday, after two-decades with the AirAsia parent company.

Aireen, 52, most recently served as group chief executive officer (CEO) of BigPay as well as CEO of AirAsia Rewards, according to Capital A. BigPay is Capital A’s digital financial services arm offering e-wallet, payments and fintech solutions, while AirAsia Rewards (formerly BigLife) is the group’s lifestyle and loyalty rewards platform.

“Aireen has been a pivotal leader in the group’s evolution into a digital-first organisation, spearheading technology and transformation initiatives across the group,” Capital A CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said in a statement.
