Airbus Helicopters posts 2025 earnings of EUR 925 million, with backlog valued at EUR 24 billion

Airbus Helicopters has posted earnings before interest depreciation and tax (EBIT) of EUR 925 million on revenues of EUR 8.97 billion for 2025 in its annual results released today. This represents growth of 13% compared with 2024. The announcement follows on from the news released two weeks ago the company had taken 544 new orders during the year, a net of 536 aircraft with an order value of EUR 10.07 billion,  a 19% improvement compared with 2024.  The company says that the improved financial performance comes as the result of not only an improvement in aircraft deliveries but also thanks to growth in its support business revenues.

The growth in sales has driven a growing backlog and, as we predicted in January, has crossed the 1,000 aircraft threshold – with the order book standing at 1,037 helicopters valued at EUR 24 billion at year end.

The company says that is it is focused on improving delivery rates with the introduction of new final assembly lines (FAL) as well as a major EUR 450 million redevelopment of the its Marignane factory, which will see 60% of the facility redeveloped as well as expansion in the immediate area around the factory.

Earlier this week, CEO Bruno Even, together with President Macron and Prime Minister Modi, inaugurated a new H125 FAL in Vemagal in southern India. Meanwhile, back at Marignane, ground was last week broken on building B13 – a 3,100 square metre facility that will be home to Main Gear Box assembly as well as the production of 330 of the parts in the MGB assembly. It will also function as the home of rotor head construction.
