ADE Secures $100M Financing, Plans Third Hangar Expansion
Asia Digital Engineering (ADE), the MRO subsidiary of Capital A, has secured a $100 million financing facility from Doha, Qatar-based QNB Group, with the funds primarily earmarked for facility expansion.
ADE CEO Mahesh Kumar told Aviation Week the financing will support construction of a third hangar at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which is expected to be completed by September or October of 2027.
“The new facility will have the capacity to accommodate four narrowbody aircraft or a combination of one widebody and one narrowbody aircraft, alongside additional developments that will be announced in due course,” he said.
Kumar added that the company is also preparing capabilities to support the Airbus A220 fleet and is evaluating potential hangar locations in Thailand, the Philippines and Bahrain.
Although airline base maintenance and line maintenance activity were marginally lower in the first quarter of 2026, ADE posted a 7% year-over-year increase in revenue to MYR222 million ($56.1 million).
