A321neo Dominates Airbus July Deliveries

Airbus deliveries in July were dominated by strong output of the A321neo.

The manufacturer handed over 35 of the aircraft to customers, almost twice as many as A320neos (19), for a total of 54 A320neo family aircraft.

Overall, Airbus delivered 67 aircraft, a slightly higher output than in June (63). But while A320neo deliveries were relatively strong despite engine shortages, other programs lagged behind. The company handed over just five A220s, two A330-900s and five A350s.

Cancellations included three A220-300s from Macquarie Financial Holdings and one A350F from Martinair. Air Lease Corporation had already canceled an order for seven A350Fs a month earlier. Air France-KLM Group switched eight A350-1000s to the smaller -900.

Airbus recorded seven new orders in July; three came from an undisclosed customer for the A321neo. Condor bought four additional A330-900s.
