Master Scheduler Vacancy at GKN Aerospace

Job Summary Responsible for the management of the weekly production plan in order to balance demand and supply within available capacity and set Inventory targets.
Orchestrate the cross-functional MPS activities following the GKN Aerospace standard.
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of maintenance operations, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall productivity in line with customer demands and organizational goals.
Work closely with various departments, including production, procurement, and engineering, to create, maintain, and adjust schedules that balance capacity and workload while minimizing delays and maximizing safety and quality.
Create and maintain the production schedules according to Programmes’ customers’ requirements while maintaining Inventory targets and optimizing capacity for each processes.
Schedule production for all related products in line with the understanding of all and manning constraints.
Ensure that Master Production Schedule:
Is feasible and balanced against resource / demonstrated capacity.,
Includes all phase-in / out, transfer plans as well as new programmes development.
Is based on agreed working calendar and includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.)
Production Past Dues are re-scheduled
Monitor output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard.
Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required shipment dates.
Proactively communicate/escalate to the management team any potential MPS issues / constraints to trigger preventive actions in order to mitigate supply failure risk.
Support the team in analyzing WIP levels in order to optimize / challenge current status and search for improvement opportunities.
Provide communication / feedback to Group Leader and Team Leaders in case of any potential supply issues and also in order to improve Forecast accuracy.
Ensure relevant KPI’s are monitored and PDCA approach applied with A3 in case of deviation to ensure targets are delivered in a sustainable way (e.g.: Master Schedule Adherence, Customer Past Dues, Days Inventory Outstanding),
Support continuous improvement projects / activities,
Ensure required information is up to date for all planning and scheduling purposes.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in production scheduling, operations planning, or a similar role within the MRO or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of MRO processes, including maintenance workflows, resource planning, and inventory management.
