KUANTAN (July 1): Pahang plans to develop an Aerospace City in a 5,042-hectare area in Gebeng here beginning next year and it is expected to be ready in 2026.

Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the high-impact project would also involve the transfer of the existing airport to a new area and subsequently support the 3rd National Physical Plan as a national integrated transit development (air, land and sea) in the area.

He said that once completed, the project would also have an international airport and world-class aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services.Read more
