KUALA LUMPUR: Rosida Ismail has become the first Malaysian to land a job at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) as an air transport officer, specialising in economic policy under the Air Transport Bureau in Montreal, Canada.

The permanent position was offered to her on April 19 after receiving an email and phone call from ICAO secretary-general Dr Fang Liu, expecting her to report for duty in early August.

“I’m tasked to redevelop air transport policy and guidance material for the economic regulations of air transport and its update.

“The job also requires me to oversee ICAO policy and succession, develop and maintain international agreements,” Rosida told the New Straits Times when contacted recently.Read more
