The event was initiated in an effort to strengthen the multilateral cooperation between Asian countries to boost the region’s aerospace industry.

MAIA organised the industrial visit where delegates from Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association (TAIA), Aerospace Industry Association of the Philippines (AIAP), Indonesia Aircraft Component Manufacturer Association (INACOM) and Korean Air, visited MAIA members from UMW Aerospace in Serendah, STRAND Aerospace Malaysia in Damansara Perdana, and Spirit AeroSystems Malaysia in Subang.
