MONDAY, 1 OCTOBER, 2018, KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA) recently organised an industrial visit and networking dinner with the Asian aerospace industry association delegates in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur International Aerospace Business Convention (KLIABC) 2018. The event was initiated in an effort to strengthen the multilateral cooperation between Asian countries to boost the region’s aerospace industry.

MAIA organised the industrial visit where delegates from Taiwan Aerospace Industry Association (TAIA), Aerospace Industry Association of the Philippines (AIAP), Indonesia Aircraft Component Manufacturer Association (INACOM) and Korean Air, visited MAIA members from UMW Aerospace in Serendah, STRAND Aerospace Malaysia in Damansara Perdana, and Spirit AeroSystems Malaysia in Subang.

Delegates had the opportunity to witness the capabilities of MAIA members as part of the Malaysian aerospace ecosystem.

The visit ended with a networking dinner between core members of MAIA core and the delegates at South Sea Seafood Subang.

The industrial visit and networking dinner with Asian aerospace industry associations preceded the official program for the KLIABC 2018, a three-day business convention organised by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in collaboration with MAIA and Advanced Business Events (ABE) France at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
